Applewood Bowls

Carving bowls is a holiday from the precision and symmetry of boatbuilding. These bowls are carved from mature standard trees, 200 years old or more and up to 3 feet thick at the stump. At the end of their productive lives, many of these trees are being cut for firewood and replaced by dwarf varieties.
